On the heels of our last team settings refresh, we've simplified team member management. It's now easier and faster to invite team members, assign their roles and manage permissions within Koan.

We launched an updated design for our transactional emails! In this version, you’ll notice improvements to how they look and to how they work.

• We've refreshed all emails with a new clean, modern design.
• We've added additional content to emails for more explicit context and clarity.
• We've updated our summary email, featuring reflections you may have missed and reaction gifs!

• When deleting a team, the team name no longer persists in the sidebar.
• We removed a legacy setting that enthusiastically notified members who weren't in a reply thread.

⚙️ Refreshed team settings

We've kicked off the first of many steps to improving Team settings. This week, we're starting off with refreshing the Team Settings "tile" view and adding a brand new "general" page.

🎁 What's new

• New UI and icons to match the new look and feel introduced in org settings last month
• We've created a new "general" page to update the team name, time zone, and parent team. You can also delete your team from here if needed.
• It's now much easier to select a parent team with a new searchable team picker.
• With these team settings split into a new page, it's now easier to use the members page, which we are updating currently to make inviting your team a much easier task.

Note: As part of this work, we've removed the ability to customize the "Summary" label.

🛠 Other fixes and improvements

• Newly created teams now correctly show up in the sidebar
• Similarly, freshly deleted teams will correctly be removed from the sidebar
• Timezone names are now formatted a bit cleaner than before
• Our custom reports now correctly handle the case where no team members are active
• Imported reflections are now correctly saving again
• Improved the overall speed of Koan
• Some general UI consistency fixes with inputs

🔑 Upgraded archive key result experience

After numerous chats with customers and understanding how people used the archiving KR feature, we've decided to upgrade this functionality within the tool.

You can now easily manage key results from objectives that carry over quarter to quarter, with the added assurance of understanding how archiving a key result will affect other linked objectives and key results.

Fixes and improvements

• We fixed an issue in team settings where editing a team member's role did not update.
• We corrected the text where toasts displayed incorrect messages while editing objectives and key results.
• It's now possible to view archived goals in table view.

Quickly add key results to sub-objectives

Connecting year-long objectives to quarter-long sub-objectives can be a hassle, especially when adding individual key results inside nested sub-objectives. Now, it's as simple as clicking a button.

⚙️ We've got your back, Admins

Setting up OKR software for your team is usually a pain. This is why we've refreshed our entire Org settings experience from the ground up. Settings are easier to browse and customize to your teams needs.
